In reply to Jim. In the instant pot you don't have to increase the cooking time, but the time to heat the pot will be longer with it being fuller. Thanks for the message, so glad you really enjoyed the sloppy joes.

Finally….
A sloppy joe that tastes like my mom made when I was a kid. This will definitely be a new staple at my tailgate parties. It’s really good after letting it thicken. But, I think it’s even better after it sits in the the fridge overnight and is reheated.
These are great on a toasted bun with coleslaw. But I was out of buns and I had one one serving left. I had it on a baked potato with shredded sharp cheddar cheese. In a word …. WOW!
With some extra time on my hands , I’m going to make it and freeze it. I have a 6 qt IP. Can I double the recipe and would I need to make any time adjustments?

Do you not drain the fat off after browning the meat??
