There is way too much butter in the crust. 1/2 cup or a little less is plenty. It leaked out into the oven during baking. I used lemon zest of 2 lemons instead of the essential oil since I did not have it. Delicious and very pretty dessert!

I have, several times. You can leave it out completely, or you can add 1/2 tsp lemon extract (not oil, or juice)!
