Ingredients

Cream Cheese Glaze

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbs Cream Cheese Whipped is best
  • 2 cups Confectioner's sugar

Donuts

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 Tbs Cocoa Powder Unsweetened
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring

Instructions

Icing

  • Mix together all ingredients until no longer lumpy. The cream cheese should mix in well, but it might be a little difficult to combine, this is why whipped is best

Donuts

  • Preheat the oven to 350F or turn on your donut maker so it can preheat
  • Spray a donut pan with cooking spray, or spray donut maker with cooking spray
  • In a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa powder and salt. Set aside
  • In another bowl, mix together the sugar and egg. Add the melted butter to the egg/sugar mixture. Add in the vanilla and buttermilk and red food coloring.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fill the donut pan with the batter, filling each about 2/3rds full. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes. If using a donut maker, fill to full, then close, and bake until light indicates they are done!
  • While donuts are still hot, dunk them in the icing. Then cover with sprinkles of choice.
  • Let cool
  • Enjoy
