Mix together flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt, and sugar
Mix thoroughly.
Stir in chocolate and slivered almonds.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients
Add in eggs, milk, and vanilla into the well
Use hands to knead thoroughly to incorporate ingredients
Form into 3 loaves and put on ungreased baking sheet
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes
Remove from oven and cut each loaf into approximately ten thin slices
Place slices on a baking sheet and return to oven at 300 degrees to bake for 20 minutes
Garnish with melted creme de menthe chocolate and chopped nuts
Serve by themselves or with hot cocoa or coffee
