Ingredients

  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • 1/2 large onion sliced
  • 1 green pepper sliced
  • 1 lb flank steak sliced thin
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Hoagie Rolls of choice
  • 4 slices muenster cheese

Marinade

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbs red wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbs lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  • Combine marinade ingredients together, and place in a zip top bag with flank steak. Marinate at least 30 minutes, up to 24 hours.
  • After marinade time is over, thinly slice the flank steak, and discard the marinade.
  • Take your thinly sliced flank steak, and add salt and pepper to it to season it. Then set thinly sliced flank steak aside.
  • Turn oven on to broil on high to preheat.
  • In a large sauté pan, heat 1 Tbs olive oil over medium high heat, and add in onions and peppers. Cook, stirring occasionally.
  • When onions are almost caramelized (8-10 mins), add in flank steak, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Sauté meat until it is browned. About 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  • Cut hoagies, and spray with coconut oil or cooking spray
  • Put on baking sheet and broil 1-2 minutes to crisp them up, and lightly brown them.
  • Remove hoagies from the oven, and put meat and sautéed onions and peppers onto hoagie, top with cheese
  • Return to broiler, and broil until cheese melts (About a minute)
  • Serve hot!

Notes

If in a pinch, skip the marinade, and just slice your meat super thin so it will be tender and easy to eat.
