They are light, fluffy, puffy, sugary, and really delicious sugar cookies, which can be shaped in all kinds of festive shapes for the ideal cookie exchange cookie. And my favorite part: the peppermint frosting. Mmm so good!

Glaze
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/3 tsp merengue powder
- 1/3 tsp food coloring
- 1/3 tsp peppermint flavoring or oil

- 1/2 recipe of Soft Sugar Cookies
Bake Soft Sugar Cookies according to directions and allow to cool (Or buy premade sugar cookies)
Put glaze ingredients in a bowl, and whisk until incorporated, if too thin, let stand for a few minutes, if too thick, add a little more milk
Glaze cookies by dipping in glaze, and allowing excess to run off, then sprinkle with garnishments and let dry. The glaze will dry hard and shiny
