Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
A super simple banana bread with a light peanut butter flavor, studded with chocolate chips, and topped with a thick, rich, peanut butter frosting. It tastes like dessert!

- 3 bananas brown, mashed
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 egg whisked with a fork
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 11/2 cups flour
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Peanut Butter Frosting
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
Preheat oven to 350
In a bowl, mix all ingredients except chocolate chips by hand until well incorporated
Fold in chocolate chips
Pour into a greased bread pan (approx 9x4x4)
Bake 50 minutes to 1 hour or until browned and toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean (check at about 50 minutes)
Cool on rack
Mix frosting ingredients together in a large mixing bowl, and then top the cooled bread with the peanut butter frosting mixture.
Slice and enjoy!
