Honey Walnut Shrimp

Ingredients

  • Oil for frying
  • 1 lb jumbo shrimp
  • 4-5 egg whites
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup Walnut Pieces

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayo
  • 3 Tbs Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 3 Tbs Honey or C&H® Honey Granules or Domino Honey Granules
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oil to 375 degrees
  • Clean and devein jumbo shrimp
  • In a large bowl beat egg whites until white and frothy
  • In a medium sized bowl mix together corn starch, salt, and pepper
  • Dip shrimp in egg whites, then dredge in the cornstarch mixture.
  • Fry in 375 degree oil for 2-3 minutes until shrimp is cooked and exterior is crispy
  • Set on a paper towel lined plate, and set aside.
  • In a new large (microwave safe) bowl, mix together sauce ingredients.
  • Microwave for 30 seconds, and stir well to help C&H® Honey Granules melt into the sauce
  • Dump walnuts into bowl with sauce, add shrimp, and toss!
  • Once shrimp is well coated, serve immediately.
  • Great served over rice and garnished with chives.
