Red Velvet Raspberry and Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast

Cocoa powder and a touch of buttermilk takes this french toast with raspberries and cream cheese filling right over the top!

Red Velvet French Toast

  • 6-8 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 Tbs cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbs sour cream
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 Tbs brown sugar
  • 1 tsp red icing color or food coloring
  • 1 loaf Texas Toast Style Bread

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 Tbs Confectioner's Sugar
  • 1 Tbs milk

Cream Cheese Glaze Syrup

  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbs whipped cream cheese
  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar


  • Fresh raspberries
  • Confectioner's Sugar
  • Whipped Cream


  • Mix together all french toast ingredients except the bread, and whisk til smooth
  • Dip Texas toast style bread into egg mixture and cook on pancake griddle, be sure to coat well, and flip to cook both sides.
  • Meanwhile, mix together cream cheese mixture using a hand mixer until smooth, set aside.
  • Mix together cream cheese glaze syrup ingredients, again using hand mixer, until smooth. Set aside.
  • When toast is cooked, place one slice of red velvet toast on plate, top with cream cheese mixture. Then cover with fresh raspberries. Pour syrup glaze over top of raspberries. Top with a second slice of red velvet french toast. Dust with confectioner's sugar, top with whipped cream and more fresh berries.
  • Serve hot!
