Ingredients

  • 1- 8 ounce can of Crescent Dough Seamless Sheet
  • 1/2 cup herbed goat cheese
  • 2 pears cored and sliced thin
  • 1-2 Tbs Balsamic Reduction

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Lay your crescent roll dough out on a parchment or baking mat lined baking sheet, feel free to crimp the edges like I did to make it pretty.
  • Sprinkle goat cheese crumbles over the dough, reserving a couple tablespoons
  • Core and thinly slice pears, and layer them over the top of the dough and goat cheese in desired pattern
  • Sprinkle reserved goat cheese over pears
  • Bake for 15 minutes until dough is golden brown and slightly crispy
  • Drizzle balsamic reduction over the top and enjoy.

Reducing the balsamic

  • You can buy it already reduced, or you can do it yourself, it is really easy.
  • Place balsamic vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat so it stays at a strong simmer until reduced by one-third
  • Dip a spoon, and when the mixture coats a spoon, it is done.
  • Remove it from heat and allow the balsamic reduction to cool
  • It will thicken as it cools, if it gets too thick, then add more vinegar and return it to the heat and stir. If it is too thick, repeat until it reaches the consistency you would like.
  • Cool balsamic
