- 1- 9 inch pie crust uncooked
- 8 cups Tart Apples approximately, apples vary in size, so fill that pan up. Use peeled and sliced tart apples like Golden Delicious or Bramley.
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Crumb Topping
- 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Put pie crust in a pie tin
Peel and slice apples and put in a large bowl. Toss with cinnamon and sugar.
Layer apples into pie crust
In a small bowl, combine crumb topping ingredients, and using a fork, combine until a crumble forms. It should have a lumpy, sand like appearance.
Top pie with crumble mixture
Bake for 50-60 minutes
