Delicious and easy homemade marinara sauce, perfect for dipping all your game day favorites, from mozzarella sticks to meatballs.
Servings: 2 cups
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 1 Tbs minced garlic
- 14.5 ounce can peeled and crushed tomatoes
- 5 ounce can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbs balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 Tbs fresh or lightly dried parsley
- 1 Tbs chopped basil
Heat olive oil in a medium sized sauce pan, add garlic, and saute 1 minute until fragrant.
Add tomatoes and tomato sauce, and balsamic vinegar, and bring to a simmer
Add in seasonings.
Simmer for 10 minutes
Serve with your favorite items, like mozzarella sticks, meatballs, etc.
Garnish with additional fresh basil if desired.
