Churros Easy and Delicious
An easy churro recipe that takes a classic Spanish treat and elevates it to perfection and ease. This fried pastry dough is rolled in cinnamon and sugar and paired with a simple chocolate and caramel dipping sauce for an easy and delicious treat.

Churro Batter:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 – 1 cup water
- Oil for frying
Sugar Dusting:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 Tbs brown sugar
- 1/8 cup cinnamon
Chocolate Sauce:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream or milk
- 1/2 Tbs vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
Caramel Sauce
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
Caramel Sauce
Stir sugar and water in a saucepan over low heat, until sugar dissolves.
Once sugar has dissolved, bring to a boil
Boil for 5 minutes until it turns a deep golden brown color.
Remove from heat, and stir in cream.
Set aside and let cool and thicken for at least 15 minutes.
Chocolate Sauce
Stir brown sugar and cocoa powder together in a small bowl.
In a small sauce pan, over medium-high heat, add unsalted butter and heavy whipping cream together, and bring to a soft boil.
Let boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in brown sugar and cocoa powder mixture and whisk until smooth.
Remove from heat, add vanilla and salt.
Whisk, and let sit a minute to thicken.
Churros
Mix sugar dusting ingredients together in a bowl, and set aside.
Heat the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until boiling.
Whisk baking soda and all-purpose flour together.
Stir flour into the melted butter, then slowly add the water until you have a thick dough. You may not need all the water, add a little at a time until you have a soft ball. Remove from heat
Transfer to a bowl and add your 3 eggs and mix until combined.
Heat your oil at medium high to 375 degrees F.
Transfer batter into a piping bag with a star tip.
Pipe into the oil about a 6 inch long piece of dough. Use a knife to scrape the batter from the bag tip each time.
Fry for about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Take them out one at a time and roll in the sugar mixture.
Dip into dipping sauces and enjoy
