Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes peeled and sliced into fries
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • fresh black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Set air fryer to 400°F for 8 minutes.
  • Peel and cut sweet potatoes into fries, approximately 1 cm square thickness.
  • Add sweet potatoes to a bowl with seasonings, and 1-2 teaspoons olive oil. Toss to combine.
  • Transfer fries to the air fryer basket, in batches, leaving space between the fries for air circulation.
  • Cook in batches so there is plenty of room between the fries in the air fryer so the air can circulate. Do not overcrowd or they will not get crispy.
  • Cook for 8 minutes, turning half way through for best results.

  • Arrange potatoes in a single layer on prepared baking sheet, being sure not to overcrowd.
  • Bake until tender and golden brown, turning occasionally, cooking approximately 18-24 minutes.
  • Cool 5 minutes before serving.
