No Yeast Pizza Dough

Homemade pizza dough with no yeast, for a delicious crispy on the bottom, perfect chew crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour spooned
  • ¼ cup cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter room temperature
  • 1 Tbs olive oil

Toppings:

  • 1 Tbs olive oil
  • ½ tsp garlic salt
  • Pizza sauce
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Other toppings of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Line baking sheet with parchment paper, or preheat pizza stone and brush with oil.
  • In large mixing bowl combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Stir until combined. Then gradually add milk, softened butter, and olive oil.
  • Mix on low speed with a dough hook until a ball of dough forms. Or knead with hands until you reach a good consistency. (You want a consistency that is sticky but comes away from the sides of the mixing bowl cleanly)
  • Flour your work surface, a rolling pin, and your hands.
  • Remove dough from the mixing bowl, and pat down with flour,
  • Using a roll pin, roll dough out to about ¼ inch thickness and place on your baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Miz together olive oil and garlic salt, and brush over the crust for extra flavor (optional)
  • Spread pizza sauce over crust, leaving a lip. Add cheese and other toppings.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted, andcrust is a golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, let cool slightly and enjoy!
