1.5lbschickencooked and shredded or cubed
1tspgarlic salt
salt and pepper to taste
Hawaiian Haystack Gravy
4Tbsbutter
1/2cupflour
16ounceschicken stock
3/4cupsour cream
salt and pepper to taste
1/2cupheavy cream
1/4tspOther seasoningsAs desired add a pinch of cayenne, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder
Toppings
Pineapple
Olives
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Cheese
Chow Mein Noodles
Crispy onions
4cupscooked rice
Instructions
Start rice cooking according to package directions
In a medium size sauce pan on medium-high heat, melt butter, add in flour, and stir together, then whisk in the chicken stock and salt and pepper, whisking until smooth
Add sour cream and heavy cream, and turn down to a simmer, whisk it together, and keep an eye on it so it doesn't scortch
Cook the chicken with a little water, and season with garlic salt and salt and pepper to taste.
Chop up toppings, and serve everything over the rice. Layering rice, gravy, chicken, and toppings of choice!

Notes: Taste your gravy, and adjust the seasoning accordingly. I like to add a little cayenne for heat, or some garlic or onion powder for a little more flavor. But base this on your family and their preferences.
