Ingredients

  • 2 ½ ounces blue cheese crumbles
  • 3 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • lemon juice to taste

Instructions

Mix the Base

  • In a small bowl, mix together buttermilk, sour cream, mayonnaise, and white wine vinegar until creamy.

Add Spices

  • Add sugar, and garlic powder to the bowl. Stir everything together until well blended and smooth. Adjust the consistency to your preference by adding more buttermilk if needed.

Add Blue Cheese

  • Mash in Blue Cheese Crumbles, use a fork to mash in larger crumbles to achieve the right consistency while keeping chunks of blue cheese. You don't want any pieces bigger than a cottage cheese curd.

Season to Taste

  • Season the dressing with salt and freshly ground black pepper. And a squeeze of lemon juice. Taste as you go to achieve the perfect balance of flavors.

Chill and Serve

  • Transfer the dressing to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together. Serve with blue cheese crumbles on top as a dip for your favorite dishes or serve as a dressing and enjoy!
