Ingredients

  • 3/4 c butter unsalted is best
  • 3/4 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c white sugar
  • 1 medium egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 c baking flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda not powder, get it right
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a stand mixer, use the paddle attachment to cream together butter and sugars. Cream together until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla to the stand mixer with the creamed butter, and mix until combined.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Then slowly add to stand mixer, and mix until incorporated.
  • Using a cookie scool (1.5-2 tbs), scoop balls of dough onto baking sheet, 12 to a sheet.
  • Bake at 350 F for 8-10 minutes, until edges are slightly browned, then remove from the oven.
  • Let cool 1 minute on pan after removing from the oven.
  • Remove cookies from pan, and let cool 5 minutes on cooling rack.
  • Enjoy! Or seal in airtight container for up to a week (they won't last that long!)
