- 2 lbs chicken breasts boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 4 pieces)
- 5 tablespoons butter melted
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 lemons juice and zest
- 1/2 cup white wine
- Optional: salt pepper, and fresh parsley for garnish
Season chicken with salt and pepper. To your preference, season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) .
Sear Chicken: Melt 1 Tablespoon butter in an oven safe skillet, over medium high heat, and add seasoned chicken breasts. Sear chicken in a large skillet over medium high heat, until browned on both sides. About 2-3 minutes per side.
Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, melt the butter and stir in garlic, white wine, lemon juice from 1 lemon, and zest from one lemon.
Add sauce to the chicken: When chicken breasts are seared on both sides, remove from heat, and pour the lemon garlic butter over the top. Slice second lemon, and place in the oven safe skillet around the chicken.
Bake: Cook for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and is cooked through. This varies based on the thickness of the chicken
Serve: Spoon any pan juices over the chicken and garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
