  • 4 boneless chicken breast fillets at room temperature
  • 1 cup basil pesto jarred or home-made
  • Salt to taste


  • Coat each chicken breast filled in pesto and sprinkle with salt. Refrigerate for minimum 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill or grill plate on the stove. Once heated, place the chicken on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side. Remove from the heat, cover with foil and allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. This will allow the chicken to finish cooking through while staying juicy and tender.
  • Serve as whole fillets or cut into slices.
