The Best Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter softened or grated into bowl
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup bitter sweet chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzel pieces

Instructions

  • Line baking sheet with parchment or baking mat
  • Blend your oats up in a blender to make them into flour
  • In a large bowl, whip the butter and sugars together
  • Stir in vanilla and egg
  • In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients, and then mix the two together until just combined.
  • Stir in chips and pretzel pieces
  • Using a 1/4 cup measurer, fill with dough, then spoon out and form into a disk (like a hokey puck shape)
  • Place on sheet with plenty of space between
  • Stick in freezer for 20-30 minutes (not longer, you don't want them frozen)
  • Preheat oven to 300 and bake for about 15 minutes, until edges start to brown.
  • Remove from oven, let sit on pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to cooling rack
  • Let cool then enjoy!
