Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts 5–6 oz each
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil

Simple Seasoning Blend

  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

Preheat oven & Prep Pan

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Prepare the pan. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.

Prep Ingredients

  • Pound the chicken to about ½–¾ inch thick at the thickest part. This ensures even cooking and tenderness.
  • Mix the seasoning in a small bowl.

Season both sides.

  • Place chicken on baking sheet
  • Drizzle with olive oil and rub to coat.
  • Sprinkle generously with seasoning.
  • Flip, repeat oil and seasoning on the other side.

Bake

  • Bake for 16–20 minutes, depending on thickness, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Rest 3–5 minutes, then serve or slice.
