Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 pounds pork tenderloin
  • ½ teaspoon red chili pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 14.5 ounces chicken broth
  • 6 ounces pineapple juice
  • ½ cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ large onion sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic minced

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season tenderloin with pepper and chili flakes, then brown tenderloins on all sides, about 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile combine chicken broth, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, onion, and garlic in the crock of the slow cooker, and whisk together.
  • Put browned tenderloins in a slow cooker with other ingredients.
  • Cook on Low for about 4 hours, turning 2 to 3 times during cooking time to ensure even doneness. Check for doneness around hour 3. The internal temperature of tenderloins should reach 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  • Remove tenderloins from the slow cooker and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
  • Spoon remaining liquid over slices when serving, if desired.
