Making slow cooker teriyaki pork tenderloin
  • Cook on Low for about 4 hours, turning 2 to 3 times during cooking time to ensure even doneness. Check for doneness around hour 3. The internal temperature of tenderloins should reach 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
  • Remove tenderloins from the slow cooker and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice. Spoon remaining liquid over slices when serving, if desired.

Tips & Tricks for the Best Slow Cooker Teriyaki Pork Tenderloin

  1. Sear Before Slow Cooking
Don’t skip the browning step — it locks in juices and adds a rich, caramelized flavor that makes the pork extra delicious.
  2. Check Doneness Early
Pork tenderloin is a lean cut and can dry out if overcooked. Start checking the internal temperature at hour 3 and pull it once it hits 145°F.
  3. Slice Against the Grain
For the most tender bites, slice the pork across the grain after letting it rest for 5 minutes.
  4. Thicken the Sauce
Want a glaze-like finish? Remove the pork when it’s done and simmer the sauce on the stovetop for 5–10 minutes, or whisk in a cornstarch slurry to thicken.
  5. Add Veggies
Toss in bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas during the last hour of cooking for an easy built-in side dish.
  6. Make it Spicy or Mild
Adjust the red pepper flakes to your liking. Add more for a kick, or leave them out if you’re serving kids.
