For the Sandwich
- 4 Hoagie rolls
- 16 ounces Turkey Deli Meat Land O’Frost Bistro Favorites Applewood Smoked Turkey
- 8 slices Provolone cheese
- 1/2 Head iceberg lettuce shredded
- ½ cup Sliced pepperoncini
- ½ Small red onion thinly sliced (soaked in water to reduce bite)
- 2 Beefsteak tomatoes thinly sliced
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon Red pepper flakes
Garlic Butter (optional)
- 3 tablespoons Butter
- ½ teaspoon Minced garlic
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan
Grinder Salad Dressing
- ½ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Red wine vinegar
- 2 teaspoons Pepperoncini liquid
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- ½ cup Grated parmesan
- 1 teaspoon Minced garlic clove
- 1 teaspoon Oregano
Prep the Garlic Butter & Rolls
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Melt butter in a microwave-safe dish and stir in garlic, salt, pepper, parsley, and parmesan.
Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise. Brush garlic butter generously on the inside of the rolls.
Toast the Sandwich Base
Place rolls cut-side up on a baking tray.
Layer the bottom halves generously with turkey and top with provolone slices.
Toast for 5–8 minutes, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
Make the Grinder Salad
While the sandwiches toast, in a medium bowl whisk together all dressing ingredients. Taste and adjust to your personal preferences — add extra pepperoncini liquid for tang or more oregano for herbiness, etc.
Shred the lettuce and drain the red onions. Toss lettuce, pepperoncini, and onions with the dressing until fully coated.
Assemble the Sandwich
Remove toasted hoagies from the oven.
Pile a generous heap of grinder salad over the melted turkey and cheese.
Add tomato slices and sprinkle lightly with salt, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
Top with the remaining half of the roll, slice in half, and serve immediately.
