Chicken Alfredo
A creamy alfredo sauce that comes together in 15 minutes, and something fun!
You guys, I am so excited to share this with you today, while the recipe itself is awesome, that is not why I am excited. So here’s the deal…a few months ago I hosted an Avengers party, and invited a bunch of my neighbors and friends to come. It was for the blog, and was a sponsored post, which means I was being compensated to throw a party. Awesome, right?
Anyway, some of the kids who came to the party were asking me why I had chosen an Avengers theme and I explained to them it was part of my job. One sweet girl in particular was very curious about my job and asked me several questions, so later I called her mom and asked if I could have her over and kind of give her a glimpse into the “day in the life of a food blogger” I would let her conceptualize and develop a recipe, compose and shoot a photo, edit said photo, and create a post.
Obviously her mom said yes, and that is the post I am sharing with you today.
She came over, I asked her what she wanted to make. She wasn’t sure, so I told her to browse Pinterest until she had an idea for what she wanted to make. She decided on an alfredo pasta. We look at about 5 recipes, and wrote down the common ingredients between the recipes, then headed to the kitchen to develop our own.
She knew she wanted some garlic, but not too much, and plenty of parmesan cheese. You guys, she came up with this recipe all by herself and it turned out awesome!
Then she composed the photo, with some help from my own little rascals who wanted to add in lots of extras. And took the pics. Then edited, added the title, and more. I think she would make a great food blogger!
So here is her post:
15 Minute chicken alfredo that is rich, creamy, and cheesy. Your whole family will love it!
Rachael invited me to come over and asked what I wanted to make. She showed me some things I could make. I decided on CHICKEN ALFREDO! This was such a easy and fun meal to make.
So here is the recipe:
15 Minute Chicken Alfredo
Ingredients
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 tsp garlic
- 2 tbs flour
- 3/4 c chicken broth
- 1 c half and half
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese
- pepper to taste
- Grilled chicken slices use pre-grilled or an option like Tyson Grilled and Ready
- Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a saute pan, melt your butter over medium high heat
- Add garlic and saute 1 minute
- Add in the 2 Tbs all-purpose flour, and stir to form a roux
- Add in half and half and chicken broth and whisk together
- Add in parmesan cheese and stir until it all melts
- Taste and add salt and pepper to taste, we found it did not need salt but did need a little pepper.
- Remove from heat
- Stir in grilled chicken pieces, or put them on top when serving
- Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles, and garnish with parsley

Okay, it is Rachael again…so great huh? And her photos are like a gazillion times better than any of my first photos. I loved teaching her some of the ins and outs of creating a blog post. So go make this yummy pasta, and leave a comment to let her know what a great job she did. Her name is Annabelle!

I love how quick this one is! A few months ago I was looking up an easy Alfredo recipe and for the sauce it said to “buy a jar of Alfredo at the grocery store”! I wasn’t thinking quite THAT easy…

Hahahhaha that is so funny! I am trying to think if I have ever said that.
