How to Make Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

Looking for a refreshing summer drink that’s both sweet and tangy? This frozen strawberry lemonade is the perfect treat to cool you down on a hot day. With the combination of fresh lemon juice, sweet strawberry syrup, and ice, this delightful beverage is a surefire crowd-pleaser. Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients:

Lemonade Base:

  • 1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water

Strawberry Syrup:

  • 2 cups Strawberries
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water

Other:

  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

1. Make the Strawberry Syrup:

  1. In a saucepan, combine 2 cups of strawberries, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor and puree until smooth.
  5. Strain the puree through a small mesh sieve to remove the seeds. Discard the seeds.
  6. Refrigerate the remaining strawberry puree in an airtight container.

2. Prepare the Lemonade Base:

  1. In another saucepan, combine 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water.
  2. Bring the mixture just to a boil.
  3. Remove from heat and transfer to an airtight container. Refrigerate until ready to use.

3. Assemble the Frozen Strawberry Lemonade:

  1. Place about 14 ice cubes in a blender.
  2. Add 1/4 cup of the lemonade base, 1/4 cup of water, and 1/3 cup of the raspberry syrup to the blender.
  3. Blend until the ice becomes very fine and smooth.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust by adding more lemonade base, water, or raspberry syrup as needed to achieve your desired flavor and consistency.

Tips for Perfect Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

  • Adjust Sweetness: If you prefer a sweeter drink, add more raspberry syrup or a little extra sugar to taste.
  • Consistency: For a thicker, slushier drink, add more ice cubes. For a thinner drink, add more water.
  • Garnish: Serve your frozen strawberry lemonade with a slice of lemon or a fresh strawberry on the rim of the glass for a beautiful presentation.

Enjoy your homemade frozen strawberry lemonade as a refreshing treat on a hot summer day or as a delicious beverage for your next gathering. It’s sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike!
