For this recipe, it gets an added level of fun when you fill ice cube trays with things like plastic spiders, gummy worms, and other tid bits to make the punch scary. Then get some Disposable Food Preparation Gloves or whatever plastic gloves you have and fill with water and freeze so that the punch is kept cold with floating hands (these gloves are great to have on hand for when you chop peppers too).

I bought the Black Forest Gummy Fun Bugs which you can get at your local grocery story, or order off Amazon. I also got Black Forest Gummy Worms. We started by freezing these into ice cubes made from lemonade.

Then I mixed up the ingredients and put them in a punch bowl.

I garnished the glasses with more bugs and cucumbers. Talk about cute!

For today we skipped the story and went with a cute little Halloween movie. Witches In Stitches.  You can download it on Amazon for cheap, and it is fun. Not the best animation, and it does say the word “stupid”, which I did not love, but my younger kids liked it, and it went well with our activity. It is about 3 witch sisters who have a bit of trouble with their spells. Two of the sisters accidentally turn the other sister into a pumpkin. It is not scary, and is pretty cute, though not for the over 7 or so crowd. You will have to watch it to see what happens.
