Mandarin Orange Cream Soda and a refreshing Lemon Lime Punch, the perfect girl’s night beverages!

Orange Cream Soda Hero

I have really awesome friends, but life gets busy, and we sometimes find ourselves going weeks, if not months without seeing each other. And sometimes you just need a night to chat, watch terrible reality tv, and pamper yourself with friends. Am I right? I asked my daughter if she would want to have a girl’s night, and invite a few friends. She was so excited about the idea, and even more excited to help me plan a night to remember.

Okay, after writing that, it made me think of prom, and the cheesy prom themes, like “A Night to Remember”, hahaha pretty sure that was in fact the theme at my junior prom. Hahah, but that has nothing to do with our memorable night. While prom was all about the boys and who asked whom, our night was for the girls.

We decided to pull out all the stops, and have an awesome girl’s night party, with delicious foods, even more delicious beverages, and lots of girl time fun! It ended up being such a blast and a great way to re-connect. I thought I would share all the details with you guys so you too could throw the perfect Girl’s Night-In Spa Party.

For starters, we got a hotel room. We decided pampering ourselves would include no clean up, so we went low key on the decorations, and booked a room so we could stay up late girl talking, and not keep my hubby up.

And let’s just say, we got very little sleep. I definitely left looking a little worse for wear despite my spa treatments!

But those spa treatments were so much fun. We loved sitting in cushy robes, enjoying the hot tub and indoor pool, and of course pampering ourselves!

feet

We gave each other pedicures. We all cleaned off our toes, and then had to gather round for a picture of what our feet looked like before. Mine were so bad I opted to leave them out. Sandals are rough on feet in the summer!

face-masks

We did facials with mud masks. This is one of my daughter’s favorite things to do, and now I think all of her friends, and mine are converts to the power of an at-home facial.

And of course, we had plenty to eat and drink! Because what kind of girl’s night would it be without food?

The biggest hit of the night was our Italian Cream Soda bar, and Sparkling Cucumber Mint Lemon-Limeade.

I made a Cucumber Lime Punch that used Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water in Lemon Lime and Original, limeade, fresh cucumber slices, and mint. And we enjoyed that during our spa treatments.

Honestly, it was so refreshing, and tasted just like something you would expect to get in a high end spa. I love adding cucumber to any kind of water, and the sparkling soda just made it extra special.

To make this you need 1-59 ounce jug limeade frozen limeade, 2 cans Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water in Lemon Lime, 1 can Original, a cucumber and some mint leaves.

Fill your jug with ice, and hand tear some mint leaves. Put in your dispenser. The amount of mint depends on your personal preference. I find 5-6 leaves is good for a gallon size jug.

Then just add in your liquids, this includes the limeade, the Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water in Lemon Lime as well as Canada Dry Sparkling Seltzer Water in Original. canada-dry-3

Cut up your cucumber, and add that in as well, and give it a quick stir. canada-dry-4

That’s it! Let it sit for at least 15 minutes to get the best flavor!

What a fun time that looks like! And I love Canada Dry — it’s one of the only sodas I indulge in from time to time!
