A perfect anytime snack. This kid friendly (but adult enjoyed) recipe, offers the unique and fantastic flavor of Reese’s in a spreadable form, paired with fruit, and rolled into a fun “sushi” themed snack.
I must confess: I am totally the mom who raids my kid’s Halloween haul and picks out all the Reese’s PB cups. Can you blame me? I mean all that chocolate and peanut butter goodness! And I know I’m not the only one who loves these flavors.
We recently had an intern move in with us, she is from Switzerland, and her first day here she had a peanut butter sandwich, and she HATED it. She totally complained about how awful peanut butter is.
Being such a true believer in the creamy, nutty goodness that is peanut butter, I encouraged her to try it again. And again. And again. And guess what? Now she LOVES it. Like can’t get enough of it. She spreads it on crackers and eats it for breakfast!
Well something else she really loves is chocolate. Being from Switzerland, the chocolate mecca, this makes total sense. I totally made her try Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups because if you love chocolate and peanut butter it is the best! Of course she loved it. Then I heard about the new Reese’s Spreads, and knew I had to go to Walmart and buy a jar so she could try it.
I knew she would just love Reese’s Spreads, which are based on the iconic Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, because it is a perfect combination of chocolate and peanut butter flavors in spreadable form. And I was right! So now she can get those two amazing flavors in one, and spread it on her crackers, or on toast or waffles, fresh fruit, graham crackers, vanilla wafers, etc. Basically the possibilities and opportunities for the distinct and drool-worthy taste offered only by Reese’s are endless. And we are taking full advantage!
I thought it would be fun to use the Reese’s Spreads to make snack sushi. My kids love eating things with chopsticks. And anytime you make food fun, kids are going to go crazy for it.
