**I received a complimentary Sous Vide Oven in order to facilitate this post.
This unique and healthy tilapia offers a creamy, minty, flavor that pairs well with this perfectly cooked, and flaky fish!
Do you ever get sick of the same old, same old? I know I do. I make tilapia and other fish frequently for lunches while my kids are at school. They don’t love fish as much as I do.
And while I love tilapia, I usually make it into fish tacos. But lately I’ve really wanted something new. I also wanted to cook in my Sous Vide oven, because it is so easy and low hassle. (Read about it here).
Well remember how I told you guys about the freezer meal exchange group I started? (You can read about how to start one yourself here.) Well, during the summer one of the participants did some kind of chicken kabob, and they included a mint sauce that was tasty.
I was thinking about that mint sauce and thought it would be nice with tilapia. Tilapia is such a mild fish, and it takes on flavors really well, so I figured I would give it a try.
So I whipped up the sauce, spread about half of it over the tilapia filets to cook them with, and reserved the other half to season after they are cooked.

I wasn’t, it was pretty darn good. My husband especially liked it. It is definitely something I will make again, and not just for the great flavors, but the ease of preparation.
*Note: If you do not have a Sous Vide, you can prepare sauce, coat fish and bake at 350 for 18 minutes.
If you love tilapia, and you like creamy, feta, and rich mint, this makes for a quick and healthy lunch or dinner.
Enjoy!
