Bacon and jalapeño garnished deviled eggs with a mustard seasoned filling! The perfect party appetizer.
Have you ever smiled so much your face hurts? That is how I have been feeling today. I had something totally exciting happen, and I can’t wait to share it with you, but unfortunately I am not allowed to say yet. No, I am not pregnant. And yes, it is blog related. But that is all I can say right now. But don’t worry, I will let you know my exciting news soon.
But you guys, I have been grouchy lately, so much stress from moving and just not getting enough sleep, so it felt really good to smile all day. And to smile at strangers. It made me realize I need to stop letting myself be a grump, and just be happy no matter what. Good news helps, but it is not required. Ya know?
Anyway, as soon as I can I will share the good news!
Until then, I will share this exciting recipe.
I just love deviled eggs. Like so much. But, they are kind of a pain to make. Right? Like all that peeling. The worst! But then every time I eat them I can’t help but ask myself why I don’t make them more often. And there are so many amazing recipes out there. Like avocado centers, or whatever.
These are pretty classic, with some mustard mixed in. But I used fun garnish to make them extra special.
And they turned out so good I wanted to eat the whole tray myself, but figured I better restrain myself some. It was hard. I don’t have a lot of self control when it comes to food. So I made sure to share. In fact, I served these at a BBQ, where I featured a bunch of classic BBQ recipes. I will be sharing all the details on the BBQ later this week. It turned out so cute. And was the perfect way to celebrate being settled into a new house!
Anyway, I hope you make these, and make lots so you can eat your fill and still share. I was weird and only made 10 because that is how many eggs I had, but you could make a full dozen and just use a little bit more of everything. It shouldn’t be too hard to adjust.

I love deviled eggs so much – my family asks for them all the time. I put the bacon on top too – it gets gummy if mixed in. Haven’t tried jalapeno with them yet – sounds yummy!

I love pickled jalapenos on just about anything. I don’t mix the jalapeno in because then the filling is too much for my kids, but they can pick the jalapenos off this way and I still get the flavor!
