The most decadent green goddess dressing or dip you will ever eat. I literally wanted to eat it like soup. It was that good. Plus it has protein in it so you can have an all veggie salad with some staying power!
I love a good salad. Love it. I have no opposition to greens and things. But my biggest problem with salads is that unless I pack them full of beans, and meats, and such, I am hungry 30 minutes later. They just don’t usually offer the staying power I want with a meal. And sometimes, I just want a salad, not a big piece of chicken on top of a few greens! So I decided to try adding protein to the dressing in hopes that it would work in the same way as adding a meat protein on top. What I found was by adding the protein to the dressing I was satisfied longer.
Protein rich foods have a high satiating power than equal calorie foods that are not high in protein. Thus, one way I get around this when I want to eat foods that aren’t naturally rich in protein is I add it! And I ALWAYS use Vital Proteins, and usually the Collagen Peptides. The main reason I choose this is my protein option is it is virtually odorless and flavorless so I can add it to literally anything, even water, and enjoy great protein in my diet.
Because I add protein to a lot of foods I make in order to help my son’s dietary needs, I really appreciate the odorless, flavorless factors. However, that is just one of the reasons I love Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides. There are also tons of benefits to adding collagen to your diet like stronger nails and hair, joint health, etc. You can read about the benefits here. I choose Vital Proteins as the source because they use only grass fed pasture raised bovine hide, are dedicated to providing 100% natural, whole food proteins that support animal wellbeing and sustainable eco-friendly practices. Basically they provide the highest quality protein.
Anyway, I highly recommend adding it to this dressing (which doubles as a dip), because it won’t alter the flavor at all, but gives you all those awesome benefits, and greater satiation.
And did I mention it is so easy to make? It is. In fact, check out this simple video showing you how you can make this green goddess dressing in literally 5 minutes or less using a food processor. No food processor? No problem, use a blender instead.
I have made this 4 times this week because I love it that much. It has amazing flavor, is simple to make, and is not just a great salad dressing, but if you thicken it a little with extra sour cream, or by reducing the amount of olive oil, it is also a fantastic veggie dip. I was loving the flavor so much I even added some to a pot of alfredo shells, kind of like a pesto sauce. My kids gobbled it up and raved about how it was the best pasta ever. Even though it was green! Honestly, the uses are varied and many, and you can’t go wrong with this super simple to make, totally rich and delicious Green Goddess Dressing!
