Caramel Moose Munch Fancy Popcorn is crunchy, sweet, and chocolatey, caramel corn sprinkled with three kinds of nuts, and drizzled in two types of chocolate. This easy, crunchy, delicious popcorn is great for a crowd. Just be warned, you won’t be able to stop snacking once you start.
There is nothing better than the crunch of a caramel coated popcorn…that is, until you drizzle it with white and milk chocolate, and toss in pecans, almonds, and peanuts. Then I am hooked!
Confession time, I love popcorn. Like it rates in one of my top ten ever things to eat. Sad, but true. I pick it over many other foods, and select my theater based solely on which have the best popcorn. And don’t tell me they are all the same, it is simply not true.
Throw nuts into that popcorn, and I got nuts for it. (Pun intended). Probably because it then feels like I am eating something relatively healthy! Ha!
Anyway, one of my favorite things about popcorn is that it is simple to make, works for a crowd, and is so easy to customize and have fun with, and this recipe is no exception. Caramel Moose Munch Fancy Popcorn is a perfect party food, especially if you want to feed a crowd, like a last minute idea for a New Year’s Party. Serving Caramel Moose Munch Fancy Popcorn in a festive holiday bucket is an easy way to spruce up your snack table.

- Pour one bar of melted white chocolate on one of the three pans
- Pour one bar melted milk chocolate on another pan
- Leave the other pan plain caramel.
- Allow to cool

What size and what kind of white and milk chocolate did you use? Thanks. 🙂

Please be specific about white chocolate and milk chocolate bar and size/weight for each. Thanks.

Best recipe for Moose Munch I’ve tried. The bars are 4 ounces. I used semisweet chocolate instead of milk, less melting when handling.
Rachael says
Thanks Linda for taking time to comment! And I am so glad you enjoy the Moose Munch.
Chelsey says
Hey, love this recipe! If I were to make this to give as gifts, do you think it would go stale quickly or would the caramel help preserve it? Thanks!
Rachael says
I would say you have 3-5 days if it is in an airtight container, it would last longer. What a great idea for gifting!
Peggy Dahlberg says
I would like to know are your nuts salted or unsalted??
Rachael says
Salted. Thanks!
Amy says
How do you store this? Or should it be served right away? Just wondering if I can make ahead or not
Rachael says
Store in an airtight container for about a week. Sometimes you can store it longer, but you don’t want the popcorn to go stale. Enjoy!
Lucille says
Can you substitute corn syrup for the Caro syrup?
Rachael says
yes! Thanks for asking
Shannon says
When are you supposed to add all of the nuts?
Rachael says
Well shoot, I can’t believe i missed that, You can add them when you add the caramel, or at the end when you add the chocolate. Adding them with either the caramel or chocolate helps them stick to the mix and not all settle into the bottom of the bowl.

I am making this as a party favor for a baby shower.
What size white chocolate and what size semi sweet
Chocolate?
Would I be safe doubling this at one time?
I need about 50 small-medium bags. Thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank you in advance.
Rachael says
Hi Kathy, I would definitely double this recipe if you need 50 bags. Maybe even triple it. And it is 4 ounces each of white and milk chocolate. Thanks.

OMG ! I used to buy this when you could get it at Target. Now you can only buy it through Harry and David and it’s so expensive. I have been looking for a recipe that comes close and this looks great. Thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to try it. Happy Holidays !

What kind of nuts are you using – salted, unsalted, roasted, raw? I’m helping with a Woodland Animals themed baby shower for my niece and want to make some of this.
