Keto Breakfast Hash:

A filling, flavorful, fun, low carb breakfast option that will give you a reason to get up in the morning.

Loaded with hearty and delicious ingredients, this keto breakfast recipe will keep you full for the whole morning and make breakfast time more enjoyable than ever.

Enjoy this or other low carb breakfasts like: Easy Granola, Egg Cups, Pulled Pork Hash

Keto breakfast hash changes things up from your run of the mill keto diet breakfast ideas.  Loaded with bacon, eggs, veggies, and a touch of sweet potatoes, this keto friendly breakfast idea is a great change of pace from your normal breakfast items, adding a fresh and different keto breakfast recipe to your repertoire.

What Can You Eat For Breakfast On The Keto Diet?

There are actually quite a few things that you can eat on the keto diet for breakfast. One of my other favorites being the delicious coconut flour Keto Pancakes!

The important thing to keep in mind when making a keto friendly breakfast choice is to avoid carbs and pick foods that are high in healthy fats.

Keto Friendly Breakfast Ideas:

  • Keto Breakfast Hash
  • Bacon
  • Egg Cups
  • Eggs Muffins
  • Keto Pancakes

I really like this keto breakfast hash recipe as a breakfast option because it gives you a little taste of a lot of different keto friendly foods. Nothing beats cooking this recipe in a cast iron skillet to truly bring out the best in regard to flavor. Need a cast iron skillet recommendation? This one from Amazon is a great starter skillet!

This keto breakfast hash recipe is layered with so many different ingredients that it offers flavor and variety to your plate, while eliminating the need for a breakfast carb.

Eggs, bacon, and brussel sprouts are just a few of the amazing keto approved ingredients in this breakfast hash.

So, don’t feel discouraged if you are trying to eat low carb and feel like you are in a breakfast slump.

There are many keto friendly foods that make for a killer breakfast.

And in fact, in addition to breakfast hash, if you are craving a high in carb breakfast like pancakes, don’t worry you have options there too.  You don’t have to blow your diet by giving into the urge for a traditional pancake.

Try keto pancakes.  They are another great choice.  Made with coconut or almond flour opposed to white or wheat flour, these low carb pancakes are another great breakfast choice that can satisfy a pancake urge without killing your carb intake.

Eating keto friendly foods does not mean that you have to give up on a delicious, hearty breakfast.  It just means you have to be a little more particular at times as to what you put into your body.

For example, if you want pancakes, I have a great keto pancake recipe.  If you are in the mood for a veggie hash, make this keto breakfast hash.  It is equally delicious.

Breakfast has never looked so good.

Can You Eat Eggs On Keto?

Absolutely!  Eggs are in fact one of the common foods that come to mind when thinking about meals you can eat for breakfast on a keto friendly diet.

One large egg consists of less than one gram of carbs.  Eggs are filling and low in carbs, resulting in the egg being a great food choice.

Also just to clarify, unlike with other diets sometimes, on keto you can eat the whole egg, both the egg whites and yolk.  So don’t hesitate, dig in and enjoy the common breakfast food, the egg.

How To Make Low Carb Breakfast Hash?

A lot of components in a typical breakfast hash are already low carb, which is always nice to hear.

Eggs, bacon, yes and yes.  Both are keto friendly.

When making breakfast hash keto what you have to be careful of is the typical hash brown.

A lot of times breakfast hash calls for hash browns, hence the name.  Hash browns are typically made using potatoes, which are not considered low carb.

Some good things to add to keto hash to give texture and additional flavor so you don’t miss the hash browns are things like turnips or cauliflower.

In this keto breakfast hash recipe I used both turnips and brussel sprouts.

Change Your Breakfast Regiment.  Have Some Keto Breakfast Hash!

I love this keto breakfast hash.  It has so many great flavors and components that make it a killer dish.  From eggs, to bacon, to turnip, to even beets, there are so many filling and flavorful treasures in just one meal.

Looking for other great Keto friendly recipes?  Try Keto Chili or Keto Pancakes.  Both are great keto recipes.

I am a little confused about the carb count...parsips are actually quite high in carbs - 24 g per cup...

Hmm I use a software for calculating nutrition, but I would suggest going with something you trust.

Also, a tablespoon of olive oil has 119 calories, so the nutrition information seems really inaccurate? I'm not sure about this. . .

I believe the recipe calls for turnips, not parsnips.

OH MY GOODNESS! Thank you for a keto breakfast recipe that has no eggs! This was easy to prep, and I am going to double this recipe next time. I am trying to get low carb veggies, and the turnips and brussel sprouts were great in this meal.

So so very good!! Even if you are on the bench about even liking turnip, I believe this hash recipe will be a “go to” for you! Simply yummy!! I did choose to add the bacon in with the turnip at the beginning.

Psss....I did not add the Brussel sprouts because I cannot eat them. I love them but they do not love me!
