Smoothies are such a quick and easy way to get a boost of protein, and energy in the mornings. I love making Freezer Smoothie Packs to simplify smoothie making. And often make mango based smoothies, like this Strawberry Orange Mango Smoothie. But today I am sharing my favorite way to use Vital Proteins in a smoothie.
You guys already know I am such a huge fan of Vital Proteins. I would say I am their biggest fan, and tell everyone about them all the time. Their collagen peptides are one of my favorite products, and I add them to everything because they are odorless, flavorless, and don’t change the consistency or texture of food. I looked for a great protein for a long time, and tried just about everything I could get my hands on. I was so happy when I found Vital Proteins because it solved all my dilemmas. I needed a great source of protein. I needed something that didn’t have flavor or texture. And I didn’t want something that had to be made into a protein shake. It checked all of my boxes.
My son who is a really picky eater needs lots of protein, and it is hard to get him to eat it, so Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides have seriously saved me, and I use them in everything, event in treats like these Peanut Butter Cups (to make them healthier)! Of course, I love their gelatin too for things like Gelatin Cups! But recently they came out with a new product that I can’t even begin to explain to you how much I love it.
It is Collagen Beauty Greens!
While I use and enjoy the Collagen Peptides, the main reason I tried them was for my son, the Collagen Beauty Greens are all for me. They are made up of a nourishing elixir that combines marine collagen peptides, raw organic greens, hyaluronic acid, and probiotics to give you a beautiful glow that starts from within. The awesome thing is they have ingredients that improve your skin’s moisture, smoothness, and tone, but also that help with hair and nails. My skin could definitely use the boost, especially since I live in the dry, dry, dry state of Utah!
When I first opened the Collagen Beauty Greens I got a whiff of what smelled like grass! Hahaha I was a little worried to try them, and thought it would taste like I was drinking salad. So I tentatively dipped my finger in and tasted it. I was surprised it was actually slightly sweet, and coconut-ty. It is made with natural coconut flavor from organic coconut water, and uses Madagascar vanilla beans for flavoring. It was fine by itself and really great in the smoothie.
Anyway, I am really excited because it makes for a really quick, easy, and tasty smoothie addition, and means I can start getting that beautiful summer glow from the inside out! This Mango Green Smoothie is my ode to a mango colada, with the beauty greens added in! I made it, then wanted it to be a darker green color, so I added more beauty greens. You could also use just one scoop and add in some spinach.
I am really looking forward to the beauty boost, especially since I have a summer birthday, and am feeling more and more aware of my age. Hahahah!
