General Tso’s Boneless Chicken Wing Sliders with wasabi mayo and pickled vegetables. These are the most unbelievable chicken sliders ever! And perfect for game day.
My husband loves to accuse me of fooling him. He says I pretended to like sports so he would marry me, and now I don’t. This always cracks me up. “Uh, news flash honey, I did not have to pretend anything.” Lol. I actually like sports. I used to even love them.
But now I have kids. Lots and lots of kids. So here’s how it goes at our house….game is on, remote is glued to the hubby’s hand, and this kid needs a diaper change, that kid needs something to eat, the other kid needs a ride to practice, and who knows where kid #4 is…uh, me!! I do! Because while the game is on, I am the one who has to do EVERYTHING that is not watching the game.
So basically my house is pretty normal during game time. So to make things a little more fun for me (because I am selfish like that), I’ve found ways to enjoy game time myself. And I do it with food. Fun, delicious food for kids and adults. Which of course makes me the hero no matter how the teams play. These sliders are the ticket, and they can be your game time hero too!
I make it super tasty for me, and small (easy to eat) for the kids. And I make it so easy peasy you won’t even believe it! Basically if the hubs is going to vege out in front of the TV all day, I am not going to spend hours cooking. But I want good home-gating food, I need good food to compliment a good game! So I use Boneless General Tso’s Tyson wings from the Walmart Deli. These are pre-cooked, and ready to go, so all you have to do is buy them. I make my pickled veggie slaw (AKA the best thing ever) in advance and keep it in the fridge. Mix together mayo and wasabi, and I just buy rolls. So it is so easy. And SOOOOOOOOO tasty. Guys I ate like 4! In 5 minutes! Inhaled barely covers it.
Can you blame me? Once you try it you can join the ranks of the “inhaled these sliders” club! It is a very tasty place to be.
