Honey Garlic Chicken
The perfect way to celebrate National Honey Month. This is no ordinary honey chicken recipe. It is rich, and sweet, with hints of garlic, and is a chicken dinner you will make over and over again. Sticky, sweet, and with just the right amount of spice, mmmm.

Honey Chicken is a family favorite. I grew up eating it, and have fed it to my kids since they had teeth. But this recipe takes your basic honey chicken up a notch in flavor and appeal. Keep reading to find out why…
I am a big fan of using honey as a sweetener in both sweet and savory dishes. It has a depth that makes this chicken finger licking good! But in order to really get the flavor you want out of this honey chicken recipe, you have to choose your honey carefully.
I got my love of food from my parents, who taught me early that not all honey is created equally. We spent time as kids visiting a neighbor who had a hive and getting fresh, raw honey from them, then going home and eating it on everything. As awesome as that was, as an adult, I rarely have extra time to do things like that. I buy my honey. But that doesn’t mean I am not selective.
Most honey is overheated, over filtered, and over processed, so you lose some of the best parts, like the pollen and nutrients. That is why I seriously love Buzz + Bloom Honey. You can find them online here and at select retailers.
Buzz + Bloom Honey
I choose Buzz + Bloom Honey when making honey garlic chicken for a lot of reasons, but most importantly the nutritional value. What makes them different is they only gently strain their honey, so you get all that naturally occurring pollen and the benefits that go with it. One of the coolest parts of this, is it allows them to verify the country of origin and even floral source of the honey! And then when they package it, they do it at a lower heat to help maintain those benefits.
Isn’t that soooo cool?
This is my honey of choice for savory recipes like honey garlic chicken. I also love their honey for spreading, dipping and more. Buzz + Bloom Honey comes in 14 all-natural varieties, including Organic Non-GMO, Raw & Unfiltered, and Fair Trade Certified. The spreadable honey on a hot piece of bread is a must try! Or on an apple. Mmmm.
Since I use honey for so many recipes I love this honey dipper so I don’t end up with a sticky mess!
Buzz + Bloom Honey sources from trusted bee keepers all over the world, getting their craft-style honey from bees in the US, Brazil, Vietnam, Ethiopia, capturing the natural and diverse goodness of the honeybee journey. Plus they have fun flavors for their spreadable honey, besides the 100% Pure Honey, they offer Almond, Blueberry, and Cinnamon. And they are able to do this without any artificial flavors, ingredients, or preservatives.
Beyond the flavors and nutritional benefits, one of the reasons I love using Buzz + Bloom Honey in my honey chicken recipes is they also are committed to doing good for the bees. In fact, they are fully committed to protecting the health and vitality of the honey bee population. They do this by supporting Planet Bee Foundation, a nonprofit organization helping to heighten awareness of the struggling honey bee population through research, education and community stewardship.
Honey Garlic Chicken
So now that I have told you all about this amazing honey, let’s talk about this chicken recipe! It is actually my sister’s recipe. She has been making it for an age, and her kids love it! She took the honey chicken we ate as kids, and elevated it with additional spices and garlic to make it really amazing. I knew I needed this recipe in my life. And quickly found that not only did I love it, but my whole family did too! When you find a recipe that both adults and kids love, you know it is a winner, and Honey Garlic Chicken is just that–a total winner.
I hope you love it as much as we do!

The recipe was great until you added buy popcorn chicken. I do not buy prepared food. You did not leave instructions for breading fresh chicken into popcorn chicken. I guess I will have to figure it out. Very disappointed that you said you showed how to do it, but I could not find those pics with recipe. If you are going to have a recipe blog, you have to be accurate, especially for people like me who have to follow each recipe to the letter. LOL sorry to complain.

Finger licking good. Made it and loved it. I have a split house of meat eaters and vegans. I made it with chicken thighs for the meat eaters and veggie chick patties for the vegans. Shared with my family and friends.

This was good. It had a hint of sweet and spicy. I used frozen popcorn chicken. I think the water diluted the flavor a little too much. Next time I will use less water. It was a quick and easy meal. Will try it again.
