Frozen Margarita Recipe:

These non-alcoholic frozen mango margaritas are both sweet and sour, delicious and refreshing, the perfect summer mocktail. You need these for pool parties! And toss in a shot of tequila to take them up a notch and make them a fun adult beverage.

These frozen mango margaritas are reminiscent of a traditional or classic margarita as it is not a very sweet drink, it offers more of a tangy tartness! The sweetness of mango compliments the tartness of the lime, the salt, and the sweet and sour mix. The flavor dances on your tongue, and while this is a family friendly drink, you can definitely add some triple sec, tequila, etc. to make it adult-only.

Serve with a great Guacamole Bar and some Mexican Street Corn Dip for the perfect party food!

I love the tropical twist this frozen margarita offers. As someone who is not a drinker, I always think it is a shame that those who don’t partake of alcohol miss out on all the fun flavors of cocktails. And so I decided to go ahead and make myself a refreshing, tart, and delicious frozen mango margarita, sans the alcohol. Of course, that doesn’t mean you can’t add alcohol to it if you wish.

How do you make margaritas in a blender?

How to make a margarita is one of those questions every college aged kid asks themselves at one point or another. While making this recipe is easy, as you simply add everything to a blender and blend until smooth, the key is using the right ratio of ingredients to get that tart sweet and sour flavor that is complimented by the margarita salt.
When you get it right, it makes a refreshingly delicious, and not overly sweet drink. It is party perfect, and
This is a recipe with mango nectar. You could use fresh mango if desired, and blend it into a puree. However, it is far easier to just purchase some mango nectar. Regardless, making a frozen mango margarita is pretty simple because you simply add everything to a blender, and blend.

How do you make a mango margarita?

To make a mango margarita you need the following:
  • Lime juice
  • Mango nectar
  • Frozen mango chunks
  • Sweet and sour mix
  • Margarita salt
  • Lime wedges

These are delicious as they are. Perfect for sipping in the sunshine or poolside. Of course, if you want an alcoholic version, add some triple sec and tequila.

CUSTOMIZING YOUR MANGO MARGARITAS

One of the best parts about making these frozen mango margaritas is it is a great base for customizations. If you want your mango margarita a little sweeter, add some sugar! Want a little more flavor, try adding strawberries? Etc. A few of my favorite ways to mix things up:

  • Rim the glass with chili powder instead of margarita salt for a spicy twist.
  • Rim the glass with sugar instead of margarita salt to sweeten things up.
  • Add some sugar, agave, or honey to the mixture to sweeten things up. Or add extra lime juice to make it more tart.
  • Skip the alcohol to make it a mocktail, or add extra alcohol.
  • Want a little mix of flavor? Blend it all up, pour the glasses half full, then add strawberries to the blender, and blend again, and you get a mango + strawberry margarita! Or blueberry, or raspberry! It will taste great, and look pretty!
