Turkey bratwurst grill pouch is a succulent recipe for homemade turkey bratwurst, bursting with veggies and flavor!

A Facebook Fan requested a recipe that uses Turkey Bratwurst, and I just so happened to have some turkey bratwurst on hand, so I chose to make this particular recipe because I had all the other needed ingredients, and it is a family favorite
What is your favorite way to eat turkey bratwursts?

But this foil pack is a great option. It is easy to make, only takes a few minutes, and is a healthy option for feeding your family!
What is a bratwurst?
You can use a turkey smoked sausage, or turkey bratwurst in this recipe. What is a bratwurst? It’s often paired with sauerkraut and is usually grilled, seared or smoked.
Bratwurst is also referred to as “brat”, the German sausage is generally made with pork and veal, but beef can also be used. It’s seasoned with a variety of subtle flavors like caraway seeds, coriander, ginger or nutmeg.
For this recipe, you want to coin the sausage or bratwurst for the best results.
What you need to make turkey bratwurst grill pouch
- Turkey Bratwursts- main ingredient that has all the flavoring!
- Mini sweet peppers- small and bite size with loads of flavor.
- Onion- crunchy, strong texture and taste for an added flavor.
- Yellow squash- tender, sweetness added to the mix.
- Olive oil or butter- helps cook the vegetables to tenderness and adds flavor.
- Parsley- is a little bitter but does add to the turkey bratwurst recipe.
- Garlic powder- is simply salt plus garlic powder
- Chives- great flavoring.
- Salt and Black pepper- for extra seasoning and taste.
How to make turkey bratwurst grill pouch on the grill or in the oven:
- Preheat grill or oven: preheated grill or oven at 425
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl
- Wrap in Foil
- Cook on preheated grill or in the preheated oven: Place on preheated grill, and cook, flip at about 8 minutes so as not to burn, and watch carefully.
- Cook until cooked through: cook until veggies are tender, and bratwurst are cooked through.
Tips for making turkey bratwurst
- Use tongs instead of a fork when moving the packets around. You don’t want to puncture them letting out all the juices.
- Prepare the ingredients together and let sit for an added 3 to 4 hours to soak in all the flavors.
- Make sure to turn your brats frequently while grilling over medium heat.
- Closing the lid while grilling will help minimize flare ups which will cook them evenly on the grill.
- This can be made in the oven or on the grill.

Ingredients
- 4 Turkey Bratwursts sliced into bite sized pieces
- 2 cups mini sweet peppers "sliced"or whatever peppers you have on hand
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1 medium zucchini sliced
- 1 yellow squash sliced
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chives
- 1 pinch salt
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl
- Wrap in Foil
- Place on preheated grill, and cook, flip at about 8 minutes so as not to burn, and watch carefully.
- Or bake at 425 for 20 mins
- Cook until veggies are tender, and bratwurst are cooked through.
