Homemade Marinara

Delicious and easy homemade marinara sauce, perfect for dipping all your game day favorites, from mozzarella sticks to meatballs.

Homemade marinara, great for game day dipping

When my husband and I were dating, I loved attending football games. I loved getting dressed up in team gear, and sitting in the stands, cheering, singing my alma mater fight song, and doing the whole thing.

Now days, I am a lot more interested in the food than the football. My husband sometimes jokes that I was pulling one over on him. But really, it isn’t that I don’t love football, I just really love food. And while I still love the atmosphere of a game, the older I get, the more I want the comforts of home.

Who needs to go sit in stadiums where it is too hot, too cold, too loud? Where you sit on seats with no padding, and no back support? These days homegating is the new tailgating.  You can have all the fun of football, family, friends, and food without leaving the comfort of home.

Farm Rich Snacks

And you can take things a step further with easy, delicious, and awesome game day foods that require little to no effort on your part. I love whipping up a batch of this simple homemade marinara and pairing it with all my favorite Farm Rich snacks.

Farm rich snacks paired with homemade marinara

Farm Rich helps make game day easier, and oh so tasty with a wide variety of easy-to-prepare frozen appetizers and foods that are ready in minutes. Farm Rich is one of America’s favorite snacks and appetizers brands, offering the best snacks for your game day “homegate.” They have the BEST Mozzarella Sticks, which can be baked. They are crispy and crunchy on the outside, and gooey, cheesy on the inside. The perfect compliment to the marinara.

They also have great protein-packed Meatballs, also excellent dipped in the marinara. Mozzarella Bites, Pizza Roll Ups, all delicious dipped in this simple homemade marinara.

Basically all of the options rock, and are so simple to make. You can put out a whole spread, complete with Jalapeno Poppers, and everyone will think you are awesome, and no one has to know Farm Rich is the true MVP on game day.

Paired with a cold, crisp Dr Pepper, Farm Rich snacks will sack any game-day craving in no time.

I am a BIG Dr Pepper Fan

You guys, I am a BIG Dr Pepper fan. Like, ridiculously big. I have even visited the Dr Pepper museum in Waco TX. Did you know it is the oldest major soft drink in America? It is!

Dr Pepper is the perfect game day drink because it makes people happy. It is always original. And it has that signature blend of 23 flavors, which makes every sip of Dr Pepper truly unique. Paired with the Farm Rich snacks and appetizers (America’s favorites), you have your #homegatinghero.

Farm Rich helps make snack and mealtime easier and more fun! Find them at grocery stores across the U.S., visit FarmRich.com/homegating to plan an easy, delicious and exciting game day spread from home. And don’t forget this simple homemade marinara that comes together in just 10 minutes, and is perfect for all your dipping needs!
