28 day challenge

It is Day 28! Congrats for making it this far.

I truly believe that making a few simple lifestyle changes can give you a huge change in your health.

Day 28 Mini-Challenge: Have a good laugh or cry today!

Laughter is good for the body, but having a good cry is also said to be good for you. It helps heal the body by relieving stress and boosting the immune system. Studies in Japan say laughter boosts the immune system and helps the body shake off allergic reactions.

So let’s get you laughing. Here are some of my favorite jokes:

Q: What did the periodic table say when Oxygen and Magnesium went on a date?

A: O-M-G

Q: How does Alfred call Master Wayne to dinner?

A: Dinner-Dinner-Dinner-Dinner-Batman!

I am all tapped out. I am not very funny. Sorry. But I would love to hear your favorite jokes. Please share them in the comments!

Now that we are on the last day, let’s look at all the mini-challenges that = better health, energy, and faster weight loss!

  • Day 1: Keep a Food Journal to See Your Weaknesses
  • Day 2: Replace temptations with something better
  • Day 3: Add Variety
  • Day 4: Skip the Salt
  • Day 5: Hydrate
  • Day 6: Stop Eating 2 hours Before Bed
  • Day 7: Do NOT Eat You Emotions
  • Day 8: Brush Your Teeth After Every Meal
  • Day 9: Portion Control
  • Day 10: Post Your Health Goals
  • Day 11: Meal Plan
  • Day 12: Exercise 10 Extra Minutes
  • Day 13: Get Some Sleep
  • Day 14: Take a Break
  • Day 15: Chew Slowly
  • Day 16: Eat Breakfast
  • Day 17: Eat Good Fats
  • Day 18: Cook at Home
  • Day 19: Meditate
  • Day 20: Extra Veggies
  • Day 21: Eat Fiber
  • Day 22: Get Your Protein
  • Day 23: Stretch
  • Day 24: Do Neurobics
  • Day 25: Get Some Vitamin C
  • Day 26: Make Your Workout Count
  • Day 27: Do Your Genealogy
  • Day 28: Laugh or Cry today

Pretty great list of tweaks to make a healthier you right? And don’t forget there was an awesome recipe each day as well!

Lol on the O-M-G. Laughter is still the best medicine and we all need a daily dose of it to keep us sane with all the punches that life throws at us.

I too am a believer that laughter is the best medicine. I suffer from a lot of ailments that can bring me down quite often. My husband makes me laugh everyday with his silly antics and witty humour. It does relieve the pain even for a short time. Thank you for the laugh. Loved the OMG LOL

CHristine, sorry to hear about your ailments. The OMG joke is my favorite, and the only one I remember on a regular basis.

Laughter is the best medicine, even for a temporary moment. I do many things on your list already so hopefully that’s a good thing. I need to work on the ones I haven’t been doing.

Laughter is DEFINITELY the best medicine! My mom always used to say that the happier you are, the better your body operates..stress does some nasty things.

I don’t have any good jokes to share, but I concur! We must laugh boisterously and as often as we can!

OMG. Those jokes are so bad… BUT bad jokes can be the best kind. They’re so awful you have to laugh. I’ll be trying out the Batman joke on my hubby later.

You will have to let me know how it goes. I thought it was really funny, but my kids were not impressed. At all. Dad is the funny one at our house.

These are really good tips. Since January I have lost about 40lbs which I haven’t made public to family or anything yet. I stopped eating bad all the time, i cut all my meals in half, I no longer drink anything but water and black iced coffee. I don’t add sugar to anything anymore. Simple changes can make the world of a difference. I still have a ways to go but it is nice to feel a bit smaller and a bit more healthy!

I’ve heard that in order to lose weight it’s mainly all about the diet, though exercise is a must to tone up and not be left with flab.
